Mark Sutphin

Mark Sutphin is the ANR - Horticulture agent for Frederick County and PD7

Mark is a life-long resident of the Winchester/Frederick County community. He received a B.S. in Horticulture from Virginia Tech in 2001 and, following college, returned to the Winchester area to work in the landscape industry. Mark joined Virginia Cooperative Extension (VCE) as an Agriculture and Natural Resources Associate Extension Anent in November of 2011. His focus is on serving the commercial horticulture needs of the Northern Shenandoah Valley. This involves working with the green industry (lawn, landscape, garden centers) and assisting commercial growers producing horticulture crops: apples, vegetables, and ornamentals, to name a few. Mark works out of the VCE-Frederick County office but also serves Clarke, Page, Shenandoah, and Warren Counties.
