Candace Delong

Candace DeLong is a Consumer Horticulture Extension Agent with Virginia Cooperative Extension in Frederick County and serves the Northern Shenandoah Valley. She holds a master’s degree in Horticulture from Virginia Tech and brings a strong background in horticulture, agriculture, and community education to her Extension work.

Candace focuses on helping homeowners, gardeners, and communities make informed decisions about plants, gardening, and sustainable landscape practices. She also coordinates the Northern Shenandoah Valley Extension Master Gardener program, supporting volunteers as they share research-based horticulture information throughout the community.

Prior to joining Virginia Cooperative Extension, Candace worked as an orchard scout in Winchester, Virginia then served as an Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension Agent with WVU Extension in neighboring Hampshire County, West Virginia.
