Amanda Johnson
Amanda Johnson is a dedicated Food, Nutrition, and Health Extension Agent with Virginia Cooperative Extension, committed to empowering individuals and communities through education and innovative programs. With 15 years of experience at West Virginia University Extension, Amanda has developed a reputation as a seasoned educator specializing in hands-on learning and impactful community programs.
Amanda collaborates extensively with volunteers and stakeholders to deliver meaningful initiatives tailored to local needs. By conducting focus groups and data analysis, she works to identify priorities and develop effective programs that address critical community concerns.
Throughout her career, Amanda has been fortunate to contribute to programs and teams recognized for their excellence. She has received both national and state-level awards, including honors for distinguished service, teamwork, and the development of educational materials. Additionally, she co-authored two lessons for the Global Education Skill-A-Thons National Curriculum. Amanda's dedication to professional growth was acknowledged through her promotion to Associate Professor with tenure during her tenure at West Virginia University Extension.
